Just a brief note about my posts…

I remember getting into a packed elevator about the second week of a new job. Everyone was silent, and then someone said, “We heard you’re a believer.” I shook my head and said, “No, I’m not a believer.” There were some gasps, more silence, and then I smiled and said, “I’m a knower!” Then everyone broke loose and the introductions began.

If you’re a believer, God bless you! But regardless of your beliefs, I invite you to become a knower. If I should introduce something you’re not familiar with, don’t just accept what I’m telling you; check it out for yourself. Ask God to confirm it.

And if you disagree, let me know. In the spring of 1999, I was teaching a 4th and 5th grade Sunday school class and referred to the coming millennium, the thousand-year period after the tribulation. The next week some parents challenged me. The kids interpreted the “millennium” to be the year 2000, which In all honesty, I should have picked up on.

By the way, don’t forget to share God’s word with young people. There were 8 kids when I started teaching the class and by the end of the year there were almost 30. They are sponges and very hungry for a personal relationship with God.

There is a lot of hidden prophecy in Genesis. Some of it has already occurred. All of it has potential to transform lives, bringing confidence, peace, joy, healing and protection. More importantly, who wouldn’t want a personal, one-on-one relationship with God – the one who ‘stretched out the North over the empty place and hung the earth on nothing’?

Thank you for taking time to visit! I’ll be praying for you daily, asking God to give you a complete understanding of what he wants to do in your life and to make you wise with spiritual wisdom. I’ll ask him to strengthen you with his glorious power so that you will have all the patience and endurance you need. Be filled with joy, always giving thanks to God, who has enabled you to share the inheritance that belongs to his holy people, who live in the light.
