In writing to the Colossians, Paul wanted to make the difference between The Word, Jesus, and God extremely clear. “Christ is the visible image of the invisible God.” You’ll find his full description in Colossians 1:15-23 NLT. Paul is unlocking the importance of knowing who God is, while at the same time revealing God came to earth in human flesh to fulfill his promise to Abram, in Genesis 15, to cover the sins of his people. Romans 1:20

Who gives intuition to the heart and instinct to the mind? Who is wise enough to count all the clouds? Who can tilt the water jars of heaven when the parched ground is dry and the soil has hardened into clods? “Can you stalk prey for a lioness and satisfy the young lions’ appetites as they lie in their dens or crouch in the thicket? Who provides food for the ravens when their young cry out to God and wander about in hunger?
Revelation 19:13

Is it possible to know Jesus, whose name is The Word of God, without knowing God’s word?
