BECAUSE

Through his prophets, God has predicted and is unfolding current events. Almighty God is sovereign in heaven and on earth. There is no greater power; there is no higher power. Throughout scripture from Genesis to Revelation, his word is firm and final. His law is clear. His prophecy will unfold in his timing. If you’ve never heard God’s detailed story confirmed in the Old Testament, you missed the part about his temper, his anger and his disgust when lawlessness takes over and preys upon his people. When we look at the mess we’re facing, it’s important to understand why – not from a political statement – but from God’s word. That’s where we are.

“God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who push the truth away from themselves. For the truth about God is known to them instinctively. God has put this knowledge in their hearts. From the time the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky and all that God made. They can clearly see his invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature. So, they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God.
Romans 1:18-20

TRIPLE WARNING

God repeated a STRONG End Times warning in Daniel, Isaiah and Jeremiah, all in the 9th chapter, all beginning with verse 13. Isaiah and Jeremiah expound a bit more. These are grouped together because it feels ‘prophetically confirming’ – the same message, the same chapter, the same verse.

Daniel 9:13-14

“As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet we did not bring our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand your truth. Therefore has the Lord watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the Lord our God is righteous in all his works which he does: for we did not obey his voice.”

Jeremiah 9:13-16

And the Lord said, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein; But have walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after Baalim, which their fathers taught them: therefore this is what the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel said; Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink. I will scatter them also among the heathen, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, and I will send a sword after them till I have consumed them.”

Isaiah 9:13-16

For the people did not turn to him that smites them, neither do they seek the Lord of hosts. Therefore the Lord will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day. The ancient and honorable, he is the head; and the prophet that teaches lies, he is the tail. For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.”

Who has done such mighty deeds, directing the affairs of the human race as each new generation marches by? It is I, the Lord, the First and the Last. I alone am he.” Isaiah 41:4

Additional End Times Warnings

The following scripture references not only clarify God’s emphatic love for his children and his expectation of our obedience, but also highlight consequences and outcomes to those portraying actions against his law, his commandment. This dynamic conflict has become so great it will result in plucking up his children to a safe place while he deals with the ungodly group for 7 years of tribulation greater than the world has ever known.

These references are grouped by book, but in no particular order. In a hurry? Search for the bolded word: because.  Remember: The House of Israel, or Israel, refers to Christians; the House of Judah refers to Jews.

DEUTERONOMY

“But Israel soon became fat and unruly; the people grew heavy, plump, and stuffed! Then they abandoned the God who had made them; they made light of the Rock of their salvation. They stirred up his jealousy by worshiping foreign gods; they provoked his fury with detestable deeds. They offered sacrifices to demons, which are not God, to gods they had not known before, to new gods only recently arrived, to gods their ancestors had never feared. You neglected the Rock who had fathered you; you forgot the God who had given you birth. The Lord saw this and drew back, provoked to anger by his own sons and daughters. He said, I will abandon them; then see what becomes of them. For they are a twisted generation, children without integrity. They have roused my jealousy by worshiping things that are not God; they have provoked my anger with their useless idols. Now I will rouse their jealousy through people who are not even a people; I will provoke their anger through the foolish Gentiles. For my anger blazes forth like fire and burns to the depths of the grave.” From Deuteronomy 32

“If a man be found stealing any of his brothers of the children of Israel, and makes merchandise of him, or sells him; then that thief shall die; and you shalt put evil away from among you.” Deuteronomy 24:7

ISAIAH

“Now I will sing a song about my vineyard…” For the song, click here: Isaiah 5

“Even an ox knows its owner, and a donkey recognizes its master’s care—but Israel doesn’t know its master. My people don’t recognize my care for them.” Isaiah 1:3

“Woe to him that strives with his Maker!” Isaiah 45:9

“The earth suffers for the sins of its people, for they have twisted God’s instructions, violated his laws, and broken his everlasting covenant.” Isaiah 24:5

“Therefore, the Lord has rejected his people, the house of Jacob [Israel], because they are filled with customs from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers” Isaiah 2:6

Because you have forgotten the God of your salvation, and have not been mindful of the rock of your strength.” Isaiah 17:10

“Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever: That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the Lord: Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: Get out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us. Wherefore thus said the Holy One of Israel, Because you despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon: Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking comes suddenly at an instant. And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters’ vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water withal out of the pit.” Isaiah 30:8-14

“The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the Lord has spoken this word. The earth mourns and fades away, the world languishes and fades away, the haughty people of the earth do languish. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.” Isaiah 24:3-5

“What is this?” asks the Lord. “Why are my people enslaved again? Those who rule them shout in exultation. My name is blasphemed all day long.” Isaiah 52:5

“You worship your idols with great passion beneath the oaks and under every green tree. You sacrifice your children down in the valleys, among the jagged rocks in the cliffs.” Isaiah 57:4-5

Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed; to turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless! And what will you do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation, which shall come from far? To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory? Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.” Isaiah 10:1-4

“Therefore as the fire devours the stubble, and the flame consumes the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the Lord of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.” Isaiah 5:24

“You that are full of shoutings, a tumultuous city, joyous city: your slain men are not slain with the sword, nor dead in battle. All your rulers are fled together, they are bound by the archers: all that are found in you are bound together, which have fled from far. Therefore, said I, ‘Look away from me; I will weep bitterly, labor not to comfort me, because of the spoiling of the daughter of my people.’ For it is a day of trouble, and of treading down, and of perplexity by the Lord God of hosts in the valley of vision, breaking down the walls, and of crying to the mountains.” Isaiah 22:2-5

“The Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. None calls for justice, nor any pleads for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity. According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence. So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him. And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob [Israel], said the Lord. As for me, this is my covenant with them, said the Lord; My spirit that is upon you, and my words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouths of your seed, nor out of the mouth of your seed’s seed, said the Lord, from henceforth and forever.” Isaiah 59: 1-4, 18-21

JEREMIAH

“And the peaceable habitations are cut down because of the fierce anger of the Lord.” Jeremiah 25:37

“O Lord, the hope of Israel, all that forsake you shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living waters.” Jeremiah 17:13

Because they have not hearkened to my words, said the Lord, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but you would not hear, said the Lord.” Jeremiah 29:19

Because my people have forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths, in a way not cast up.” Jeremiah 18:15

“I will pronounce judgment on my people for all their evil— for deserting me and burning incense to other gods. Yes, they worship idols made with their own hands!” Jeremiah 1:16

“Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon my people. It is the fruit of their own sin because they refuse to listen to me. They have rejected all my instructions.”  Jeremiah 6:19

And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double; because they have defiled my land, they have filled my inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable and abominable things.” Jeremiah 16:18

“Has any nation ever traded its gods for new ones, even though they are not gods at all? Yet my people have exchanged their glorious God for worthless idols! The heavens are shocked at such a thing and shrink back in horror and dismay,” says the Lord. “For my people have done two evil things: They have abandoned me—the fountain of living water. And they have dug for themselves cracked cisterns that can hold no water at all!” Jeremiah 2:11-13

“Yet I had planted you to be a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then are you turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto me? For though you wash you with lye, and much soap, yet your iniquity is marked before me, said the Lord God.” Jeremiah 2:21-22

“Therefore, this is what the Lord says: I am going to bring calamity upon them, and they will not escape. Though they beg for mercy, I will not listen to their cries. Then the house of Israel and the house of Judah will pray to their idols and burn incense before them. But the idols will not save them when disaster strikes! Look now, people of Judah; you have as many gods as you have towns. You have as many altars of shame—altars for burning incense to your god Baal—as there are streets in Jerusalem. Therefore, do not pray for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them, for I will not listen to them when they cry out to me in distress.” Jeremiah 11:11-14

And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it; if it does evil in my sight, that it does not obey my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them. Now therefore go to speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus said the Lord; Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a device against you: return you now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good. And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart. Therefore thus said the Lord; Ask you now among the heathen, who has heard such things: the virgin of Israel has done a very horrible thing. Will a man leave the snow of Lebanon which comes from the rock of the field? Or shall the cold flowing waters that come from another place be forsaken? Because my people have forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths, in a way not cast up; To make their land desolate, and a perpetual hissing; every one that passes thereby shall be astonished, and wag his head. I will scatter them as with an east wind before the enemy; I will show them the back, and not the face, in the day of their calamity.” Jeremiah 18:10-17

“If only my head were a pool of water and my eyes a fountain of tears, I would weep day and night for all my people who have been slaughtered. Oh, that I could go away and forget my people and live in a travelers’ shack in the desert. For they are all adulterers—a pack of treacherous liars. My people bend their tongues like bows to shoot out lies. They refuse to stand up for the truth. They only go from bad to worse. They do not know me,” says the Lord. “Beware of your neighbor! Don’t even trust your brother! For brother takes advantage of brother, and friend slanders friend. They all fool and defraud each other; no one tells the truth. With practiced tongues they tell lies; they wear themselves out with all their sinning. They pile lie upon lie and utterly refuse to acknowledge me,” says the Lord. Therefore, this is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: “See, I will melt them down in a crucible and test them like metal. What else can I do with my people? For their tongues shoot lies like poisoned arrows. They speak friendly words to their neighbors while scheming in their heart to kill them. Should I not punish them for this?” says the Lord. “Should I not avenge myself against such a nation?” “The Lord replies, This has happened because my people have abandoned my instructions; they have refused to obey what I said. Instead, they have stubbornly followed their own desires and worshiped the images of Baal, as their ancestors taught them. So now, this is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says: Look! I will feed them with bitterness and give them poison to drink. I will scatter them around the world, in places they and their ancestors never heard of, and even there I will chase them with the sword until I have destroyed them completely. This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Consider all this and call for the mourners. Send for the women who mourn at funerals. Quick! Begin your weeping! Let the tears flow from your eyes. Hear the people of Jerusalem crying in despair, we are ruined! We are completely humiliated! We must leave our land, because our homes have been torn down. Listen, you women, to the words of the Lord; open your ears to what he has to say. Teach your daughters to wail; teach one another how to lament. For death has crept in through our windows and has entered our mansions, to cut off the children from without, and the young men from the streets.” Jeremiah 9:1-9, 13-21

“But this people has a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone. Neither say they in their heart, ‘Let us now fear the Lord our God, that gives rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserves unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.’ Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withheld good things from you. For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that sets snares; they set a trap, they catch men. As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and grown rich. They are waxen fat, they shine: yes, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge. Shall I not visit for these things? said the Lord: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this? An appalling and horrible thing is committed in the land; The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will you do in the end thereof?” Jeremiah 5:23-31

“Now the Lord has brought it, and done according as he has said: because you have sinned against the Lord, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing is come upon you.” Jeremiah 40:3

“How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet? For my people are foolish, they have not known me; they are stupid children, and they have no understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.” Jeremiah 4:21-22

“Go not forth into the field, nor walk by the way; for the sword of the enemy and fear is on every side. O daughter of my people, gird yourself with sackcloth, and wallow yourself in ashes: mourn as for an only son, most bitter lamentation: for the spoiler shall suddenly come upon us. I have set you for a tower and a fortress among my people, that you may know and try their way. They are all grievous revolters, full of slander: they are brass and iron; they are all corrupters. The bellows are burned, the lead is consumed of the fire; the founder melts in vain: for the wicked are not plucked away. Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the Lord has rejected them.” Jeremiah 6:25-30

EZEKIEL

“Make a chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence. Wherefore I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pomp of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be defiled. Destruction comes; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none. Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumor shall be upon rumor; then shall they seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients. The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I am the Lord.” Ezekiel 7:23-27

“Moreover, you have taken your sons and your daughters, whom you have borne to me, and these have you sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of your whoredoms a small matter, that you have slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them?” Ezekiel 16:20-21

“And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and you shall know that I am the Lord. Yet will I leave a remnant, that you may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when you shall be scattered through the countries. And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which has departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall loathe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations. And they shall know that I am the Lord, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.” Ezekiel 6:7-10

“And she has changed my judgments into wickedness more than the nations, and my statutes more than the countries that are round about her: for they have refused my judgments and my statutes, they have not walked in them. Therefore thus said the Lord God; Because you multiplied more than the nations that are round about you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my judgments, neither have done according to the judgments of the nations that are round about you; Therefore thus said the Lord God; Behold, I, even I, am against you, and will execute judgments in the midst of you in the sight of the nations. And I will do in you that which I have not done, and whereunto I will not do any more the like, because of all your abominations. Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of you, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments in you, and the whole remnant of you will I scatter into all the winds. Wherefore, as I live, said the Lord God; Surely, because you have defiled my sanctuary with all your detestable things, and with all your abominations, therefore will I also diminish you; neither shall mine eye spare, neither will I have any pity.” Ezekiel 5:7-11

“And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, say unto her, You are the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation. There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof. Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned my holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they showed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain. And her prophets have daubed them with untempered mortar, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, ‘Thus said the Lord God’ when the Lord has not spoken. The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yes, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully. And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, said the Lord God.” Ezekiel 22:23-31

AMOS

“For they know not to do right, said the Lord, who store up violence and robbery in their palaces. Therefore, thus said the Lord God; An adversary there shall be even round about the land; and he shall bring down your strength from thee, and your palaces shall be spoiled. Thus said the Lord; As the shepherd taketh out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear; so shall the children of Israel be taken out that dwell in Samaria in the corner of a bed, and in Damascus on a couch.” Amos 3:10-12

“For thus said the Lord to the house of Israel: Seek me, and you shall live.” Amos 5:4

HOSEA

“Hear the word of the Lord, O people of Israel! The Lord has brought charges against you, saying: There is no faithfulness, no kindness, no knowledge of God in your land. You make vows and break them; you kill and steal and commit adultery. There is violence everywhere—one murder after another. That is why your land is in mourning, and everyone is wasting away. Even the wild animals, the birds of the sky, and the fish of the sea are disappearing. Don’t point your finger at someone else and try to pass the blame! My complaint, you priests, is with you. So you will stumble in broad daylight, and your false prophets will fall with you in the night. And I will destroy Israel, your mother.” Hosea 4:1-5

REVELATION

JOEL

“And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for a harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink.” Joel 3:3

ZEPHANIAH

“Therefore wait for me, said the Lord, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them my indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.” Zephaniah 3:8

ROMANS

“But to Israel he said, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and contrary people.” Romans 10:21

SAMUEL

“You have this day rejected your God, who himself saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations and have said to him, “No, we want a king over us.” 1 Samuel 10:19

OUR BATTLE

“We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against powers, against principalities, against rulers of this dark world, and against spiritual wickedness in high places. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God! Wrap yourself in truth, walk in peace, put on the breastplate of righteousness and, above all, take up the shield of faith to quench those fiery darts from that stinking, stalking, slimy devil. Put on the helmet of salvation and take up the sword of the spirit, which is the Word of God, and pray!” From Ephesians 6

I am the Lord; there is no other God. I have equipped you for battle, though you don’t even know me, so all the world from the east to the west will know there is no other God. I am the Lord, and there is no other. I form the light, and create darkness; I make peace, and create evil; I, the Lord, do all these things.” Isaiah 45:5-7

“Pray for peace in Jerusalem. May all who love this city prosper.” Psalm 122:6
